Hi @Jujubeaner I suffer from depression. Everyone in these forums on depression seems to suffer from some degree of depression.
To help myself, I have been working on remaining positive, and focusing on the good things I have going in my life. I have a better psychiatrist who changed my medication a few months back and the change has helped a lot.
I am also drinking a good amount of green kratom which seems to help a great deal with my mood and anxiety... only downside is I occasionally get headaches and it does cause me to feel tired when I slow down at work.
How about you?

I’m glad you reached out to me. I have been suffering from depression and anxiety for many years. I have tried numerous medications and different doctors. I used to work out which helped a lot but now I’m just staying at home not doing much except taking care of my husband and our 11 fur babies. My husband and I do Animal Recuse so it keeps me busy. I’m a retired LPN and I loved working. I miss it but I know I can’t do that job anymore. I haven’t tried that drink you were talking about. Does it help with anxiety? I also deal with panic attacks. I take medication that does help. I swim in our pool almost daily so that had helped some. I play games on my computer and I spent one day a week with my daughter and my granddaughters. That is the best day of all! If you have any recommendations I would appreciate it.

Hi @Jujubeaner I deal with depression and anxiety. Working out does help; I encourage you to try and get back to it, even if it is a little bit each week. I used to also work out a lot which helped... gave me a euphoric feeling, but then I got injuries (in my late 20s) and surgeries which has resulted in being in pain and as I get older the joints are really stiff early in the day. This has made exercising a lot more difficult and challenging.

@Jujubeaner WOW 11 fur babies! What kind of animals? I would imagine they bring you a lot of joy and help. I have a cat which helps me too when I have really bad days. Staying busy does help me because I don't give myself the opportunity to focus on the depression because when my mind wonders that is when I get in trouble.
Green kratom does help with anxiety... I think helps more with that than depression.

I have 10 cats and one puppy. Two are foster cats though. Our dog Emma is 10 months old and she is a handful! Taking care of all of these animals can cause anxiety. I was also in an accident in 2006. The woman that hit my car crushed my Cspine and I’m always in pain. I do a lot of swimming and that helps.

I’m a retired LPN and I suffer from depression and anxiety and panic attacks. I’m trying to find friends on this site but I’m not sure how to do it. I have sent several messages and haven’t received a response. Is there anyone that suffers from these? What are you doing to help yourself?
