@Your logic implies you also don't 'trust' annual flu shots either. Good luck

i wanted to reply to your comment because a flu shot is to keep you from getting the flu. [This comment has been moderated by an administrator]

It is hard to know what to believe about the vaccine and the boosters. I am seeing too many people come down with COVID that have been vaccinated and boosted to believe that the vaccine is effective against the virus. I am to the point that although I have taken both stages of the Pfizer vaccine and the Pfizer booster, I don't think that I will get a fourth booster when it comes out, and I am convinced that there will be a fourth booster.

@dunecitymike , two years ago, I would have taken anything the CDC put out as gospel, but now I question everything they say. They have contradicted themselves far too much to be trusted anymore. While most of the things on their FAQ are no brainers, the root question remains about the efficacy of the vaccine itself.
Are we at the point that COVID is no more dangerous than the common cold if you don't have underlying comorbidities? A year ago, I was 100 pounds overweight and had high blood pressure. I worked the weight off and the blood pressure dropped to below what most people call normal. The health problems I have now are not among the comorbidities that the medical community has determined to put me at risk with COVID. So why would I need to get a vaccine that has a higher probability of not working than when I originally took it over a year ago? You don't really think Pfizer has changed it, do you?

@ejones0310 I have end-stage emphysema and do NOT screw around with avoiding or redefining vaccines. Such action could kill me.

@dunecitymike I certainly understand your position and can't imagine how I would react if I were in your shoes. I am deeply sorry to hear of your prognosis.

Hello everyone,
I hope you're doing well!
As you all may have heard, there has been discussion both in the US and in other countries about a COVID-19 vaccine booster vaccine to be potentially launched in the fall, as cases of the Delta variant escalate around the globe. The CDC has not yet taken a firm stance on necessity of a booster dose, as researchers are still gathering information and learning more about:
What do you all think about this news? If you were offered a booster shot would you go for it? Do you have any concerns about an additional shot?
Feel free to discuss here!
Take care,
Courtney
