Ingredients 4 Number of people
12.35 oz rolled oats
5.29 oz soy flakes
3.53 oz flax seeds (finely ground)
1.76 oz wheatgerm
8.82 oz nuts (chopped, or use sunflower seeds, sesame, etc.)
1 tsp vanilla bean (ground)
1-2 tsp sea salt
5.29 oz olive oil
1.76 oz hazelnut oil
8.82 oz apple juice (or water)
10.58 oz honey
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Directions
1. Heat oven to 120° C.
2. Combine the rolled oats, soy flakes, ground flax seeds, wheat germ, chopped nuts/seeds, ground vanilla bean and salt in a large bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together the oil, apple juice/water, honey and vanilla extract.
4. Combine the dry ingredients with the honey mixture with a large wooden spoon until everything is thoroughly coated.
5. Spread the mixture on an oiled baking dish about 1-cm thick (use two baking pans if necessary).
6. Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 90-120 minutes. Turn the mixture about every 30 minutes to ensure even baking.
7. The granola should be golden brown when finished.
8. Let cool, then add the raisins or other dried fruit.
Notes/Tips
Add dried fruit to taste.
