Yes, I believe it helps but other conditions limit time I can sleep on sides. If you can get away with it might help. I dream more on right shoulder than left.

I do sleep on my side and it makes a difference. But, I also use an oral appliance. My sleep provider told me not to sleep on my back, and I really try hard not to. Sometimes, I catch myself on my back, and I'm usually snoring when that happens. I think that side sleeping does help some people.

Hello everyone,
How are you doing?
Positional therapy is a technique used to manage sleep apnea by encouraging side-sleeping, which can help reduce symptoms for some people, especially those with positional obstructive sleep apnea. For some, sleeping on their back can make breathing harder, while side-sleeping may lead to fewer breathing interruptions and better rest. 🛌
People who try positional therapy often use specialized pillows or wearable devices to encourage a specific sleep position. Some even use creative tricks, like sewing a tennis ball into their pajamas to prevent rolling onto their back! But the effectiveness can vary from person to person, depending on the severity of their condition.
Have you tried positional therapy to manage your sleep apnea? Did you notice any difference in your sleep quality or symptoms? What techniques or tools did you use to maintain a side-sleeping position?
