Hello @BettyT, thank you for opening this discussion! Wow, as someone who has a hard enough time putting in contacts, I can't imagine what a cornea transplant is like! What led to you to find out that you had a hereditary condition? And how was the procedure? You must be so strong to go straight from eye surgery to work!

Hi everyone! Got my new cornea in 1995. Found out mine was an inherited condition. My son has it, but no graft yet. Have been through rejection once. Funiest thing about the journey was driving 110 miles one way to get stitches out and then driving the same distance so I could be to work on time.
