@feb16sm it is very common symptoms, especially early in diagnosis. I recommend keeping a food diary and see what effects you. Try eating "boring" like a couple things each meal so you can really see what affects you. Each person is different and while there are common food that affect most of us, there are some foods other can get away with than I ever could. There is also quantities. Certain quantities of foods you may be able to get by, but an abundance can cause the symptoms you are talking about.
A food, especially early on as you are trying to control, to avoid is anything with high fiber, like whole grains and wheat. Also, nuts are another food I would recommend you not eating in the beggining. I only recently started increasing my nut intake in the form of almonds.
What medication or advice did your doctor give you? Help me understand what treatments and changes you have made to better be able to help.

Hello! I am new to this community! Hoping I could find some people to relate to and hopefully get some insight from other's experiences. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in February of 2019. Since then its been a daily battle of bowel movements. Every time I eat I find myself running to the restroom within the next 30 minutes. I could eat a cookie and land up on the toilet. Aside from the relation to eating then going, I also am completely unable to hold. If I have to go, I HAVE TO GO. I started wearing diapers a couple of weeks ago because I never know when the closest bathroom will be available. I am not sure what to do! Did anyone else or does experience this? Is it a common symptom? Does anyone know of any treatment or way to help curb this? Anything would help <3
