Thank you once again for including me in this discussion Somya :
The only change to my diet regarding Hypertension is to reduce my salt intake. Although very difficult if you purchase any processed foods at all in the markets. All are loaded with salt, even the low sodium chips in bags. So no potato chips for me any more. The most disheartening thing is watching any of the food chefs on TV. They all load up any dish with tons of salt and belittle any chefs who do not use excessive salt...
For me, its more herbs and other spices to replace the salt!

Hello everyone,
How are you doing today? π
Hypertension is one of the most common chronic conditions worldwide. While medication is very important, diet also plays a huge role in managing blood pressure.
Some of us have had to cut back on salt, while others have seen the benefits of potassium-rich foods like bananas and leafy greens. On the positive side, these dietary changes can greatly help with blood pressure control, but on the other hand, making long-term choices can be challenging for a lot of people.

Have you changed your diet to better manage your hypertension? What habits have worked for you (cutting back on fats, increasing fiber intake, etc.)? Or, have you encountered difficulties in sticking to these dietary changes?
