Hi @sunnysideup
How are you feeling today?
I think what you are describing is actually very common feeling after drinking for people with and without bipolar. I will tag some Carenity members who may be able to give you some advice on how they navigate these situations.
@Rockinrobynne @Sofiacastillo @John7979 @donaldcoomer28 @Rissa1972 @Art813 @Terternat @Neatie @Inpruvi @HALBEL @OwenOchoa @Zoebarr @Jlbekfi123 @AliceGrace84 @Richyboy @Suzanne95 @Echointhestars @LICladee @Lavarda @beepbeep3 @Jeannbean77 @kgumus @Iliketurtles83 @morgueticia @ricksarnold @LindaSherrill @Spresinger @Tstoker33 @Powernerd @MysticChi @mrscarone @Tescott1981 @Country115 @hundal
When you drink, do you get hangover symptoms like anxiety and depression? Do you feel the need for alcohol when socializing? Do you have any suggestions for how to navigate the situation @sunnysideup is describing?
Take care,
Lizzi from the Carenity team

@Classycathy Absolutely! Try the cannabis pens. The come in Sativa (energetic high), Indica (a mellow and relaxing high) or blends. You can read on the box to see what the strain type is so you don’t grab the wrong one. I use Indica during my manic episodes. While it doesn’t completely rid me of the mania, but it definitely helps and gives me some relief. I believe you can buy them online. Our friends usually have them on hand so we get ours that way. Good luck!🍀

Due to my bipolar 2, the day after drinking, I feel so depressed that it occasionally lasts for several days. Like, I regret everything I did, did I accidentally overshare, will people judge me, and get mood swings all day. I've tried to quit but sometimes I need it to socialize and I rarely ever drink when I'm by myself, which is why I don't think I might have an addiction. What should I do? Does anyone else feel the same, or is it just me?
