Hello @jndr11,
Thank you for starting this discussion. You may qualify for disability benefits if your condition significantly limits your ability to work and perform daily activities. However, you typically need to meet certain criteria, such as demonstrating that your condition causes severe and long-term impairments.
Let me go ahead and invite some members of our community to see if they might have more information regarding this subject:

Hello everyone!
Have you applied for disability benefits for your Type 1 diabetes? What types of medical assessments did you have to undergo? What documentation was required from you? Your input would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much and have a lovely day.
Take care,
Somya from the Carenity team 🌼

I'm already on LTD for Renal Cell Cancer. It's an interesting question. I'm not sure insurance/companies would say it's debilitating enough. Although if you have a good Dr who can quantify/justify full disability, they should validate it!

Does anyone know if Type 1 Diabetes is considered a disability? Can I get disability benefits?
