I was diagnosed about 4 years ago ... I am stage 3. I get a lot of water retention in my extremities.
I also use herbs to remedy any headaches or body aches, as NSAIDs can even worsen my kidneys.
Too relax, I enjoy watching the Office. Love that show!

I don't have nephropathy, but would like feedback from other Type 2's on their day-to-day situations and diets, etc.

Hi I'm Catherine n I've had neuropathy for about 5 years now. I suffer so bad I cry myself to sleep most nights. My feet burn n have pins n needles 24 /7 but worse at night. I take 2400mgs of Gabapentin a day n it helps some or I'd be going out of my mind. At night it's much worse. Gabapentin makes me very forgetful so I'm cutting back to 1600 daily to see if my memory improves. I can't spell words many times n my recall of words I want to say aren't in my memory many times. Very scary for me. I need gabapentin though I'm between a rock and a hard place.
