Hi @Mathgrad97 I take vitamin D and magnesium, and while I am able to maintain my BG levels within normal ranges now without medications, I cannot convincingly say that I can attribute this to vitamin D and magnesium.

Hi members, I hope you do not mind me tagging you in this discussion, but it seems interesting in the information @Mathgrad97 presented.
Has anyone tried Cinnamon, Bitter Melon, Resveratrol or Magnesium to help manage/control their diabetes/blood glucose levels? Did you notice any changes in your blood glucose levels?

I AVE FOUND OUT SINCE I AM TYPE 2, THAT THE KEY FORME, IS A BALANCED DIET I EAT BASICALLY THE SAME THING PRETTY MUCH AND THAT CONSISTENCY A HAS PROVEN TO BE A WINNER FOR ME, NOT SURE IT WILL FOR EVERYONE BUT I AM OF THE MINDSET, THAT IF IT WORKS DO NOT CHANGE JUST FOR VARIETY.

When I eat oatmeal for breakfast steam carrots and broccoli for lunch then I might have 2 steamed chicken tenders with carrots and broccoli for dinner and I got it down to 155 so maybe it's what I'm eating. But it was aweful the first few days I was 300-289. Now I'm seeing 155-189 so I guess I need to cut back more maybe just 2meals a day may work better for me

Magnesium lowered my FBG by 10 points, but cinnamon didn't change anything - maybe I'm not eating enough? I've heard fenugreek increases insulin sensitivity.
A friend recommended tulsi tea for stress, and for about a day and a half my BG was way lower than normal. So I looked into it and it turns out tulsi excites the beta cells into producing more insulin. Ashwaganda also lowered my numbers, and it too excites the beta cells. Not wanting to burn up the islets I've had to look for other stress management methods lol.

Hello,
My name is Fernando and here in some insight on my journey in diabetes. My grandmother, whom I called "Abuela," was the center of our family. She had a warm smile that could light up a room and a kind heart that made everyone feel loved. She was a talented cook, and her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of delicious dishes.
When Abuela was diagnosed with diabetes, it was a shock to all of us. She had always been healthy and active, but suddenly, she had to change her lifestyle and be careful about what she ate. It was tough for her, but she was determined to manage her condition with the right medications and lifestyle. Then, I promise to myself that I'll help everyone with diabetes using some of those modifications (she is still managing her diabetes for 17 years). Therefore, as pharmacy student I will cover more specific information on [This content has been moderated by an administrator] I highly encourage you that take this huge step on your health with proper knowledge you can achieve it.
