@Courtney_J Hi Courtney, I was diagnosed as a teen. I was going through a difficult time with my parents (you know, typical teen stuff), so we didn't really pick up on some of the symptoms early enough. I had been losing a lot of weight and and I was having mood issues but we chalked it up to being a teen. It wasn't until I started having blurred vision and then some shaking that we kind of put it all together! It was a big adjustment for me learning how to take care of myself and then getting through being "the diabetic girl" at school. But now I'm doing great and I'm still working up towards running a marathon! 💪

@brockjoseph.kennedy233 Same here. I was also diagnosed in high school and some of the mood swings and weight changes weren't picked up on since I was growing so fast and I was of the age to be emotional haha. My uncle also has type 1 and he was the one who brought it up to my parents while visiting over the holidays. He noticed how much I was drinking and using the bathroom and my general lethargy and it made him think of himself when he was diagnosed.
