I initially did not notice any effect for about 4 - 5 weeks, until my doctor switched me to partial IV and partial oral. After that, I beliebe I would go into the doctors about every 4 or 5 weeks and minor adjustments were made to my dosage for about 3 months, until my TSH normalized.

The treatment for hypothyroidism is generally with the hormone levothyroxine; however, obtaining the right dosage can take time, as their is a need to check and monitor your level of TSH and adjust.
Was it difficult for you to obtain the right levothyroxine dosage? How long did this take to achieve?
