Hello johan89, thank you for opening this discussion. Let me tag some other members who can possibly share with you.
Hi everyone, for those of you who have been on or are currently on Ocrevus (ocrelizumab), can you share a bit about side effects? Did you experience any? How long did it take for them to go away? Has it helped your MS?

I have been on Ocrevus since 4 months after it received FDA approval for treatment. The first dose (1/2 dose) I had an allergic reaction that caused swelling in my throat. The nurse administered an antihistamine and had me have a quart of water, observed me for 30 minutes and continued the infusion. l highly recommend the medication, and have not had any reactions after the initial 1/2 dose.

I have been on ocrevus for 5 years, I look forward to the infusions as I have a group of people that I get to visit with. We all schedule our infusions on the same day to catch up and have some fun. Join us at Dr. Gitt's office, he is a great neurologist and has managed to keep me free from any flare ups. Going in for an infusion once every 6 months is so much better than the injections I was taking, breaking my skin down.
I have not had any problems at all with the infusion, one of the gals says she gets a headache afterwards and it goes away.
I love it!!!!

@fposner Sending you prayers, I was diagnosed in 2010 and seemed to go down hill quickly. In six years I could no longer work and had real problems with balance and joint pain. Brain fog was really bad sometimes. I took rebif and had a lot of problems and had to quit. I have been on techfadera (not spelled right) for a few years and have several side effects. I felt lost and decided to quit my meds due to side effects. Our care provider introduced me to Ayurvedic treatment. I had a total decline of all symptoms including vision problems, numbness and others. Sometimes, i totally forget i ever had MS. [This content has been moderated by an administrator] I am very pleased with this treatment. I eat well, sleep well and exercise regularly. God bless all MS Warriors

The only side affect I had was because they did not administer the Benadryl in the correct order. You will be fine. I was one of the first in my state to get it and it is a game changer.

I was on ocrelizumab for a number of years and then I ended up with leukopenia and they took me off of it so I'm not on any disease modifying drugs. It was good when I was on it until it wasn't good for me all depending on your body. Good luck with your journey.
