Have health insurance providers in the United States approved stem cell treatments for Multiple Sclerosis? I have a friend who had to go outside the country to receive stem cell treatments for their MS. A neurologist who was giving a presentation at Johns Hopkins Medical informed me 5 years ago that Insurance Companies will not cover stem cell in the United States for Multiple Sclerosis.

Hello everyone!
Stem cell therapy has become a topic of hope and curiosity for those living with multiple sclerosis. Some studies suggest that stem cells could help repair nerve damage and potentially slow disease progression. However, this treatment is still in the experimental stages and isn’t widely available.
Have you looked into or tried stem cell therapy for MS?
What’s been your experience with newer or alternative treatments for MS?
How do you evaluate treatment risks and benefits before making a decision?
