I stay away from foods that are high in sodium content, I also stay away from trans and saturated fat foods. The rare thing I eat with saturated fats is eggs, but not much do I eat those. I also do not eat red meat anymore and very very seldom eat fried foods.

I stay away from high fat foods, red meat (and even poultry and fish I try to keep it to once a week) and ALL SUGAR. Can't even have a piece of cake without getting a flare up. It's terrible :(

Basically I avoid anything good
No but more seriously, like everyone else said, I try to reduce meat intake where i can and focus on whole foods. It's just easier for me if I make all my food so that way I know i'm getting whole grains, good vegetables, etc.

Its been a while since we talked last, but this summer, post covid, has really gotten me thinking about all this stuff again. I was eating right and doing what I was supposed to for a long time. But now being out and about in summer days really makes it hard. I go to BBQs now and potlucks and I'm out of my normal routine.
Any helpful advice on getting back on track? Has anyone else found this summer harder to stick to a helpful diet, more than normal?

I stay away from food that is high in salt content. I do this because not only have diabetes, I also have congestive heart failure.

I avoid high-carb food and fat related food.

Hello everyone,
Does anyone have any recommendations of foods that you specifically not eat because of your condition that may damage your liver and may make it worse?
Have you noticed any benefits or effects?
