Yes. I had fractured my wrist 8 years ago and my hip going on 3 years ago. I started getting the prolia shot 3 years ago, shortly after my hip fracture, and have not had a fracture since, but then again... I have not fallen again.

Hi jacknjill, how long have you been diagnosed with osteoporosis for? How long after your diagnosis did you experience your first fracture? I am recently diagnosed, mild osteoporosis.

Becuase osteoporosis comprimises the strength and durability of the bones, individuals with osteoporosis are more likely to experience fractures or broken bones.
