It seems, these days, that everything is "spiked". Hard lemonade. Spiked seltzer. Everything seems to have alcohol. Vodka is now in a million flavors. I'm not saying that alcohol, in moderation, is evil. But it seems like makers are really pushing it. These days. And it seems to be especially appealing to younger kids. But they don't grow out of it. I don't know. Just my thoughts.

Hello everyone, how are you doing?
A recent study has revealed a shocking increase in alcohol-related deaths in the United States, nearly doubling between 1999 and 2020. While men still account for the majority of these deaths, women have seen the steepest proportional rise, possibly due to shifting social norms and targeted marketing. Researchers also noted concerning trends among young adults aged 25-34, where deaths nearly quadrupled.
This raises critical questions about the role of alcohol in health, the growing risks of liver damage, obesity, and diabetes, and what steps we can take to address this trend.
What are your thoughts on these findings? Do you think more awareness, screening in healthcare, or targeted interventions could help? How has alcohol impacted your health or that of someone you know?
