Yes first let’s discus flying. I need O2. No matter how soon you work with the airlines no one is prepared. You always fight then service animals. You submit way ahead nothing seems to pass on. Make sure to be 2 hrs early.

I often experience increased anxiety in unfamiliar environments, which can worsen symptoms during travel.

I have a chronic illness and it can sometimes be difficult to plan vacations. I have to be careful about where I go and what I do, but I still try to make time for a vacation every year.
I usually go somewhere close by, like a nearby city or state park. I don't like to travel too far because I don't want to risk getting sick. I also make sure to have a plan in case I need medical attention while I'm away.
I don't have any specific advice for others with chronic illnesses, but I do think it's important to take a break and enjoy yourself. I know it's not always possible, but it's worth trying.
By the way, I recently started doing sports - regular stretching and fitness. I also started going to the gym. And it seems to me that this has added to my motivation and desire to live, I don't know. But it's definitely worth trying to play sports to discipline yourself, I think

I have chemo treatments every other week and my off weeks I have to have shots to increase my wbc anc etc. But sometimes I just need a break and my oncologist is very helpful in trying to adjust things so I can go. We have a house in the mountains of NC so that is where I usually go. It's relaxing and let's me clear my mind. Let's me know I am still alive. ❤️

I am on a roadtrip vacation to Vegas and I struggle with my illnesses. I plan for the unexpected and well prepared for many scenarios. One big suitcase is strictly for medical equipment. I also hand carry all medications so that they are safe with me.

Hello everyone! How are you today?
Chronic illness has many repercussions on patients' daily lives, making it difficult for them to plan their vacations, and the organization involved can be an additional source of anxiety.
However, just because you're under treatment for a chronic illness doesn't mean you can't go on vacation!

Do you encounter any obstacles to taking a vacation because of your chronic illness? Which ones? If not, where do you go on vacation? How do you organize your vacation? Do you adapt your vacation to your chronic illness (location, duration, budget)? Do you benefit from material/financial/associative support? What advice do you have? Do you have any destinations to suggest?
Don't hesitate to share your experiences in the comments below!
Take care,
Polina from the Carenity team
