Hello everyone, how are you doing?
A nationwide recall of organic carrots has been issued due to an outbreak of E. coli O121 infections linked to multiple brands of bagged organic carrots. Tragically, this outbreak has led to 39 illnesses, 15 hospitalizations, and one death across 18 states. While affected carrots are no longer on store shelves, they may still be in homes. π₯
If youβve recently purchased bagged organic carrots, check your fridge for any recalled products. These include organic baby carrots with best-if-used-by dates from September 11 to November 12, 2024, and whole organic carrots sold under various brands without best-if-used-by dates. If you have any of these products, dispose of them immediately and sanitize any surfaces they may have touched.
Have you been affected by this recall? How do you usually stay informed about food safety recalls?
