Yes, I have lost a couple of friends because of my illness and its impact on me. In hindsight, it wasn’t my fault, nor my illness’s fault. It was the flaws in that friend.
Look, I have been happily married (for the most part, no marriage is perfect) for 29 years. He has been divorced three times in that time. Now, people get divorced! I understand that. Twice divorced could be just being young and not knowing how true love actually feels. Maybe. But three times? That is the mathematical definition of a pattern.

Hi everyone, how are you doing today? 😊
A chronic illness doesn’t just affect health, it can also impact friendships. Some friends may distance themselves, struggling to understand what you’re going through, while others step up and become an incredible source of support.
❓ Have you lost friendships because of your illness?
❓ On the other hand, have you been surprised by the unexpected support of someone?
❓ In your opinion, what qualities are essential for a friendship to withstand the challenges of illness?
