Most of my expenses are covered. The problem I have is when a practice excepts my insurance but the doctor does not.

I am on disability because of my physical and mental health issues because of that I was put on Medicare, I was on Medicaid before that, which covered everything. I have been trying to find a good therapist that takes Medicare. As most of us, if not all, it is very difficult just to find a therapist that is a good fit, finding one that is a good fit and takes Medicare is nearly impossible. When you have mental health issues trying to do this becomes extremely frustrating and you find yourself just giving up because you just can't deal with it. This is one of several reasons folks don't try to get help.

@charding8290. Sorry u are having such problems locating therapist that takes Medicare. Don't know if this will help, but try Google to find 1 in your area. Yes, extra work, yet worth it in long run. Best wishes.

@charding8290 what state are you in? I got approved for telehealth pretty quick but I refused it because it's triggering to me. I need face to face and this state I'm in is so backed up. I applied last November. It's been 9 months and nothing. Mental health system in this country is so backed up.

@Truint40 I live in Minnesota. I know everything is backed up, not just mental health system. How is telehealth triggering? I can do either. Best of luck.

I'm in Massachusetts where it's easy to get medical insurance if you have no money. The thing about it though if you get on mass health you'll go to the dive hospitals and mental health places. It happened to me at my last hospital. Was hell on earth. I was there two weeks no groups no ac just a floor of manic people. Was scary how bad it was. People got stabbed and beat up. But now I'm in a holding that's pretty decent. Free food my own room and I get to leave 7am-9pm. There's diamonds in the rough. In California I was covered under my bleeding disorder as I'm considered handicapped in America. I swear though for mental health they just do the bare minimum because most people with mental health like mine have trouble working and dealing with life. Best of luck and stay up y'all. Peace

Most of my expenses recovered. Sometimes we don't (can't) for the govt (MEDICARE) to process my request. (I had to buy a new lift chair because I was sitting crooked in my broken chair and needed a new chair immediatly) I'm also diabetic and have OCD. Medicare and my supplemental insurance covers most of my medical needs.

Hello all,
I hope you are all well, and are having a nice week. 😄
I thought I'd open this discussion so we can talk about health insurance and share our thoughts about it.
Do you find that your insurance covers most of your medical expenses? Or do you think it's not enough? How do you cope in that case?
