@Courtney_J I sleep between 5- 12 hours a day with an average of 8 hours. I'm on C-pap and try to sleep in a cool room 70º-72º in the summer and 68º in the winter. Life events are what causes those 5 hour of sleep but I always pick it up the next night with 9-12 hours of sleep.

@Courtney_J I have sleep apnea and my problem is not falling asleep, my problem is staying asleep and sleeping with that Cpap mask on. I have not used my Cpap in about a year. I k ow with my issues I need to get back to using the cpap though. If I.can’t use cpap I may have to look into the inspire unit; where they implant the device inside your body.

I used to drink to pass out to sleep. O was self medicating. Guess what? I became a alcoholic. Who seen that coming. I was a drunk that couldn't sleep. I'm proud to say today is 5 years not one drop. Still I would be awake 3 or 4 days I will exhaust my self to that point. I have delta with insomnia before I could remember. All my life I have struggled with mental health issues. I'm trying . people say you up that long you will see crap or hear something. I say NO!. Insomnia comes with the package.. I can't take sleeping pills cause that makes it worse. My body is broken into pieces. Surgery, and others. I can only sleep for 2 or 3 hours tops.what I'm gonna do about it. Starting to exercise dieting and starting to see my therapist.and find support group. also counseling . now we see what can happen. Thank you all

I have severe obstructive sleep apnea and still could not sleep with the CPAP. After talking to the sleep doctor it was suggested that I may have a bit of insomnia also, but I was never treated for the insomnia. I started listening to meditation videos ( including Tibetan monks doing their chanting. I finally found a app that works. It’s called Sleep easy! It does cost after the free trial but what I learned from that program has helped me a lot.

That would be wonderful but my attention span reaches in the negative side 😆 I was gifted ADHD along with what already have. Tried mindfulness classes after taking two angermanagment courses of 12 weeks each. I need to learn how to channel my energy positively.....

@Dr.WhoPeggygmail.com I have been on Clonopin and Lunesta at night for sleep. Sometimes my depression and anxiety are so bad that I put myself to sleep at 4p.m just so I don't have to deal with anything.

I take melatonin 20mg chewable right before bed and it usually helps me get about 6-7 hours. It’s natural and you go back to sleep even if you get up at night 🙂

My Dr. prescribed trazadone, which usually keeps me asleep about 4 hours. I wish I could sleep naturally.

I have been taking 400mg of Seraqual and 600mg of gabapentin and if needed .05 of Ambien and .05 Kilonipin if needed, but I'm trying to transition onto old school Pamelor and get off of all that other stuff. I also use meditation at night which really does help calm my mind to put me out. Most of the time. It's really helping with the anxiety. I just don't like the side effects of the older meds but am willing to put up with them until my body gets used to them as it's worth it to get rid of the anxiety.😔

I have big problems with sleep, insomnia, I take pills. Because of this, deadlines are always burning at work. While I have found a solution for myself, I fall asleep in a very comfortable chair (if someone has the same problem, then you can use it, I have a second one). Now I think that the problem is with my mattress, I plan to order another.
