Hello everyone, how are you doing today?
A recent study suggests that not all sugars are created equal when it comes to heart health. Researchers in Sweden analyzed data from nearly 70,000 people and found that sugary beverages significantly increased the risk of stroke, heart failure, and irregular heartbeat, likely because liquid sugars don’t make you feel full, leading to overconsumption. On the other hand, moderate consumption of treats like pastries or using natural sweeteners like honey in foods didn’t show the same risks, possibly pointing to a more balanced diet.
What do you think? Should we completely avoid sugar, or is occasional indulgence part of a healthy lifestyle? How do you manage your sugar intake, do you have any tips or tricks to share?
