I don’t get lonely during the holidays because I still have the support of my family and friends

i have very little support and get anxiety. i worry that it will come back and i try to take pills to calm down but it dosent work. i was stage 1b 6 years ago. in remission others have been able to forget it, i have not but keep trying. my kids don’t live near me a few friends will let me swim at their house but today no one is answering. i want to stop the anxiety so i can go traveling but i have not figured out how to do that. keep asking for prayers and for a way to calm down. God bless all of us. if i don’t hear from my friend i will go to a different place to swim.

Hello everyone, how are you doing?
For many, the holiday season is a time of joy and connection, but for some, it can be a painful reminder of isolation or loss. Research has shown that loneliness is more intense during the holidays, particularly among older adults, who may be struggling with the loss of loved ones or limited social networks, or those living with chronic illnesses, or dealing with mobility challenges. These experiences are valid, and you’re not alone.
If this resonates with you, what helps you get through this time of year? Do you find comfort in small moments, by reaching out to loved ones, or even just taking it day by day?
