Cold weather and rainy weather really aggravate my arthritis. Unfortunately, I can't take NSAIDS, so it's pretty tough dealing with it. I used to live in South Carolina, but the humidity and heat down there really affected my breathing. So I guess if you have certain conditions, anywhere you go might give you problems.

@Selkie319 Hi,
Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like you've been navigating some real challenges with the weather and its impact on your arthritis and breathing. You're absolutely right—different climates can affect us in so many ways depending on our health conditions.
How do you usually manage your arthritis symptoms during colder months? Have you found any routines or strategies that bring you some relief? 🌦️
It’s interesting to hear about your time in South Carolina. If you could choose an "ideal" climate that works for both your arthritis and breathing, what would it look like? ☀️
Looking forward to hearing from you and others who may have similar experiences!
Take care,
Somya.P from the Carenity Team 🌸

@Somya.P I don't think I've found an ideal climate honestly. Maybe something that's like autumn all year long.
I mainly use heating pads to help with my pain since I can't use meds. It's a challenge.

Hello, the winter is great because Lupus progresses in the sun and heat!! This is the time for people with Lupus, to enjoy going out!! Visit the parks and other places. I can say most of the people in my Lupus Support Group, enjoy the winter and the summer we are SHUT INS!! (Summer, not good, go out now and enjoy everything you can with your family!!) We know that the disease just goes crazy with the sun and heat--smart to get the outings now. (get it out of your system) I can only wish that all of us; with Lupus can do most outdoor activities during the winter. The Ultraviolet Rays are not just from the sun but the fluorescent lighting in most stores can aggravate Lupus. Yes, the sun is not our friend, and the light can also be a problem, for most of us!!! Long sleeves in the summer when shopping-- Can help indoors and outdoors. Remember these tricks will prevent a flare-up!!!
Many Blessings, Always Michele aka Mickey (mickeyitaly3@aol.com)
