Tomorrow is a new day!! While I may have a really tough day, sometimes after I can get to sleep, I may wake up the next day with a lot less pain!

@Colleen4300 Hi there,
Such a simple, hopeful reminder! It’s so true that some rest and a fresh start can make a world of difference, especially on those tougher days.
Take care,

@kaki!864 I totally agree!! I've been dealing with this for 21 years, and I didn't have this attitude in the beginning. It's evolved over time!!!

Hello @Annie123,
That’s a powerful one! Sometimes just putting one foot in front of the other and not looking back is exactly what’s needed. He really captured something universal with that line.

I have many. Mind over Matter. I do not die. I am a living breathing machine. My loyal friends are: Coldness; Darkness; Loneliness; Pain; Suffering. I have been through worse. I live from breath to breath. Suck it Up. Only babies cry. I do not cry. I am one of one. Remember the 14. I must survive in honor of the 14.

My mantra is the Hebrew prayer Sh'ma (sic) that begins "Sh'ma Yisrael Adenoi Elahenu Adenoi Echod." Please excuse the spelling - I'm sure most of it is incorrect but I hope you get the idea. I'm 83 years old and that prayer has comforted me ever since I learned it in Hebrew school when I was 8 years old. After the last word I add things like the Lord's prayer, please bless everyone I love, please give me patience to understand other people even though I disagree with them . . .

@kaki!864 Go to your preferred house of worship when religious services are being conducted. That's a great place to meet other people who obviously have pretty much the same beliefs you have. Don't be shy, introduce yourself to the person sitting next to you. In my experience there is a social hour after the service when people mingle and often some sort of refreshments are served, like coffee or tea and cookies, and sometimes a buffet. Even if there is no social hour you can at least introduce yourself and start a conversation. You can also go to your local library and start a conversation with someone who is perusing books in a section you like, such as sci-fi or biography. Don't choose social isolation and then complain that you have no friends - that just doesn't make sense. As to your family, you don't have to live near them in order to keep in touch. Telephones, for instance or e-mails if that's applicable. For instance, I haven't seen one of my granddaughters in person for 10 years but we exchange e-mails at least weekly, and I've "met" her husband and their three children through photos and talks about their activities.

Hello @uncleanatol,
Thank you for sharing such a meaningful enduring mantra. It's so beautiful and grounding. Do you find that this prayer helps you feel connected to both your past and present? It’s a reminder of the powerful role faith can play in our lives.

@Somya.P The prayer connects me with the past, clarifies the present, and indicates hope for the future. It's enabled me to endure divorce, loss of a grandson to suicide, becoming physically challenged due to an injury . . . It's enabled me to accept life, to change what I can and do the best I can do with the things I cannot change. Life is often a challenge but the alternative to life is permanent, so I welcome those challenges - I'm not ready for the alternative.

Hello everyone,
Hope you're doing well. 😊
We all face moments when life gets tough, and during those times, certain words or phrases can really make a difference. Whether it’s a quote, a personal motto, or a mantra, these little reminders can help keep us grounded and push us forward. Some people find strength in a line from a favorite book, while others look to motivational sayings or even something a loved one once said.
Personally, I like to tell myself “this too shall pass” or “one step at a time” to remember that tough times are temporary and progress, even if slow, still counts. What about you?
What motto helps you stay resilient? Do you have a personal mantra that lifts your spirits when things are hard? Or, is there a quote you hold onto when times get difficult?
