@wennyvw yes it is... a stroke is often caused by underlying conditions - which in themselves could also be chronic conditions - but a stroke requires medical management - in varying degrees dependent on the individual's condition severity - during and after for the rest of one's life. It also has medical effects to the person's health.
May I ask why you are concerned with if it is a condition?

interesting, what did the providers say?
I have never really hear a doctor bring that up to my husband... is there a reason they brought that up to you?

No. They stated that if i take my needs I should be fine.. And Its not a chronic condition. That's all..

I had a stroke almost eight years ago. I am now, 59 years old. My memory is getting worse. I can remember things from my childhood. But, sometimes cannot remember what happened yesterday.

I would say it is indeed a chronic condition. What one suffers from a stroke can have impacts on the remainder of their life... but I am not a doctor and not sure what the definition of chronic condition is... just my opinion.
