Hello @Michelewbronstein, thank you for opening this discussion. How are you feeling? How did your colonoscopy and endoscopy go?
Has anyone else had abdominal swelling because of your Crohn's? What do you think is behind it? Is it a common symptom that comes with Crohn's, or do you think it's exacerbated by surgery or something else?

@Michelewbronstein Yeah I'm dealing with that right now. I'm don't think I'm as bad as it sounds like yours is, but I'm waiting for my Humira to kick in and do something. For me it happens a lot when I'm going through a particularly bad flare or if I eat something my system doesn't like. Hope you feel better!

Hello, been living with this disease since I had an emergency resection of my small intestine in 2003. Enjoyed 15 years of remission without medication and then found myself back in the Operating Room for my second resection. Apparently the disease attacked the portion of the intestine at the site of the first issue. I was prescribed Stelara and did not seem to be seeing any remarkable results(some say I quit too soon) I have finally gotten the nerve to find out what’s really going on as I am always distended and look as if I’m four months pregnant most of the time. I have colonoscopy and endoscopy tomorrow and the doctor says that after this and a CT scan he will be better able to come up with a treatment plan, I’m just wondering if any other Crohns patients have this same noticeable deformity because I did not have this after the first surgery and have a hard time believing that this is a normal part of the disease. It is not related to gas or bloating snd does not seem to be related to my diet. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you!
