Sorry to hear this. America has turned upside down. Hopefully they will approve this next stimulus check. In the meanwhile, I heard the $1 store is hiring in all areas of work as well as Amazon. Also, try yoga, guided meditation, Les Brown is a motivational speaker I enjoy as well as talking a walk outside. Good luck to you, keep your chin up.

@Smn8086 I am so sorry! Just try one small thing per day to do! That's what I did and now I'm capable of taking care of my home! Hope this helps!

I struggle too sometimes with keeping up with stuff. The best trick I learned is just to start with one small thing, and try not to think about the other "things" you need to do. When I finish the first thing, if I can I go on to the second thing. And, before long I have gotten at least one thing done and sometimes two or three things done. Then I can relax and realize how much less I have to do get caught up. It doesn't all have to be done in one day and be overwhelming. But that's where my brain takes me, that if I can't or don't do it all, why bother? Or my brain says there is too much to do and I become overwhelmed and shut down. So, I try not to think about "everything" all at once. Sometimes, I will reward myself with an ice cream if I accomplish certain things.

@DebbyL Hi DebbyL, thank you for your comment! That's a great tip! Breaking things down into smaller tasks, taking one thing at a time, and rewarding yourself for your accomplishments is a great way to stay productive but also keep yourself from getting overwhelmed! Thank you for sharing!

I am still out of work due to covid. They gave us false hope by bringing us in for "training and testing". It's been 2 weeks. Still no word. My S/O has been back since June. I understand his frustration. I'm home all day. Everyday. I honestly can't do anything. I can't talk myself into it. My unemployment barely covers my insurance and car note. I can't help him with the bills.. I have hobbies. I don't bother with them. My house is a mess. Even my dogs suffer. I just sit on the couch and watch TV or read. I try to distract myself. But I don't DO anything. Any tips on just being responsible. Cleaning. Anything really. I really just can't. Help.
