i eat almonds in moderation - i've heard it's best to stay away from salted nuts though. i've just stuck to almonds.

I've been diagnosed since I was 8 years old. I'm 18 now and i eat almonds and it actually helps me regulate my blood sugar. Plus I can eat only a few and I am covered on appetite for a while.

Hi everyone,
I do eat walnuts because they are somewhat lower in carbs compared to other nuts, but I include it in my overall moderation of carbs and diet.
However, recently, a recent acquaintance I met with diabetes told me that I should not be eating nuts since I am diabetic. She said she had cut them out and has since seen great results... which seems strange because diabetic or not, seems they have so much nutritional benefits.
Any opinions.
