Hello and how are you doing. When it come to sugar cravings I usually give in but I don't go over board. and my A1C is being maintain at 6.2. I know I could do better and should do better but to give up all bad vices well that would present a problem.

I've known I have diabetes since Tuesday and I don't even know what type yet. My a1c was 2.9 (apparently unheard of) on a fasting glucose a week ago. I'm blind sided by this, I haven't ever been a sweets person, I've always craved meat and, until I was about 13, straight salt. I would eat it by the handful. Pretty sure I'm an alcoholic (bad childhood, not that it's an excuse). I just turned 30 in May. I have no idea what's happening. I've known I've had PCOS for less than approx. 5 years but I don't know if the PCOS caused my diabetes or if diabetes caused my PCOS. And I'm already overwhelmed with how people respond to a diabetes diagnosis, I've told 2 people so far (Fiance and sister) and they seem to have tons of opinions and seem to think I can get past this with diet and exercise (sister). I'm at a loss here. That's all.

Every once in awhile I get this intense craving for sweets. Sugar free jello and candy doesn't help. I've found a few keto dessert recipes and wondered if they would curb my cravings. Any advice will be most welcome!!
