Learn and understand how diet impacts blood glucose and weight, and how being overweight increases the likelihood of becoming full diabetic. Learn the foods that can spike blood glucose levels and the foods to be cautious of, such as anything "white" like bread and rice. Also, be very cautious of highly processed foods (no matter how the marketing says they are healthy) and simple carbs.

Well, I would recommend starting reading about diabetes and what is good and bad to get in your body.
I think Education about your condition is the most important part in order to know how to take care and live a healthy lifestyle. This article for example is one I found this week that talks about the fruits we can eat, that's just one example but you can find many research cases and blogs that give you some great information.

Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition that without proper management can lead to severe complications. However, pre-diabetes is basically a warning sign that if immediate and lasting lifestyle changes are not made, there is a high risk that a diagnosis of diabetes is on the horizon...
What advice would you give to individuals who are pre-diabetic? What actions would you recommend pre-diabetics take or what things would you recommend pre-diabetics understand?
Would you recommend they take a medication that could help prevent diabetes/control blood glucose levels?
