I enjoy sugar free angel food cake! To sweeten it, I use stevia.

My favorite sweet is still chocolate. Russell Stover has a collection made with stevia and they really taste good, but you still have to ration them. A couple pieces of really good dark chocolate like Lindt truffles are also very satisfying. This is the time of year to buy naval oranges to freeze. Peel them, section them and freeze. It makes a nice dessert treat or a good sweet snack. Don't even have to thaw them to eat. Yum.

@suecsdy can you explain this naval orange? I am sorry if I sound ignorant, but I am unfamiliar with the different types of oranges and how how freezing them makes them become a dessert... you are saying you peel them and then place them in the freezer and then when they are frozen you eat them as is?
I love clementines in moderation, so I am interested in learning more about this as it may be a dessert I really end up enjoying.

@sportfan365 Yes. Exactly! The first time I did it, I thought I needed to defrost them to eat them, but that wasn't really necessary. Be sure to separate the sections. If the oranges are really large, 4-5 sections is a good snack. Just be careful when you initially freeze them that they aren't stuck together in a clump. Really refreshing on a hot summer day, and in Texas, Summer is HOT. Naval oranges are a larger than clemetines and seedless. I guess you could use any variety if you don't mind the seeds.

Hello members,
A topic inspired by member @ericoltk... with diabetes you must monitor and use caution with sugar intake; however, everyone has that sweet tooth. @ericoltk enjoys "sugar free jello-Zero carbs/Cool Whip."
What is your go-to diabetic friendly sweet desert? Does it hit the spot and take that craving away?
