My psyche nurse who works with my therapist has prescribed me different hypnotic sleep meds, Belsomra, most recently. I live alone in an apt bldg. I'm afraid to try it. I've heard of people sleepwalking, what if I leave the bldg and get locked out? I take 1mg of Klonopin about an hour n half before I want to sleep. I need background noise so I turn on the TV down low on the Angel Studios channel. I have The Chosen series running. Great show. I pull the comforter over my eyes so it blocks the light. No matter what I do, I wake up every every every morning in excruciating pain and n es to immediately get up and start moving, making coffee, feeding cat, reading news. I
I'm really struggling to get an official diagnosis. I have every symptom of AS along with the HLA-B27 gene. I'm all alone and suffer depression and PTSD. I have great faith in God so I know things will get better one day. Finally get to see rheumatologist in two weeks. 🙏✝️♥️

I have trouble sleeping a full night through due overactive bladder. In order for me to get a full night of sleep, is to taking in fluids around 7-8pm.
My other problem is I have diagnosed with spinal stenosis, and I have bulging disc in all lumbar of my spine. When a disc slips out of place, I lay down to let it go back where it needs to go. Very painful

I have sleep issues due to chronic pain from ankylosing spondylitis. I take a muscle relaxer that helps me fall asleep but I don't sleep through the night most nights. It's very disruptive to my quality of life.

@MsDiagnosed I found the muscle relaxer, tizanadine, made me fall asleep but I slept deeper and harder. This, in turn made my morning pain much worse from being in the same position for too long. So I stopped taking them.

@Katkat I had scary, awful side effects from the tizanidine. I was hallucinating, my bp bottomed out. It was terrifying.

I usually search on Youtube for any interesting documentaries. Whilst looking up youtube videos I came across a documentary on people who suffer Multiple sclerosis (MS) and their real treatment from MADIBAHERBALCENTER.COM I had never heard of this crippling and debilitating disease affecting a lot of Americans. It is very tortuous to watch and hear patients who suffer. It is more like a combination of various diseases all put into one. Like a person who has suffered a stroke, plus someone suddenly becoming paralysed, cancer etc. but I also get to understand that there has been a successful cure to this disease from MADIBAHERBALCENTER.COM It is too much for a patient to endure such as they slowly begin to pass away if the right medication is not taken .Having a positive mind is a powerful tool .My prayers go out to Multiple sclerosis (MS) patients and their caregivers.

I fall asleep quite easily, in fact I have to be constantly active during the day. If I try to sit or do a quiet activity like read or crochet, I fall asleep. I don't stay asleep though. I wake up constantly from pain and nausea. I had a medication change that helped me get a deeper sleep but that just led to a new, embarrassing problem with gi symptoms.

DEAR FRIENDS, I TAKE ELAVIL (generic) for sleep and sometimes (rarely) a whole tablet!!! Basically, I cut it in half because I hate depending on it for sleep. Does anyone else take anything for sleep!! It is dangerous because everything on the market can cause a drug hangover!! I want to thank Lizzi, she has done everything possible to keep this chat going!! KUDOS, to lizzi for all her hard work!! I thank you and I hope everyone in here gives you a personal thank you to you on line. wishing you the best because of your tender heart and intelligence.
Always Michele aka Mickey

I have a terrible time sleeping. Today I had a chemo treatment and was given dex. I took two Tylenol PM and still awake at 2am. I go to my comfortable chair and listen to spa music or motivational music. That does help me on non chemo nights. I have been prescribed a medication from the Dr. But is too strong. The next day I am so dizzy. So I do what I can and sleep the next day. What a rollercoaster this cancer is!!

Hi everyone,
Sleep allows the body to recover both mentally and physically. However, many people have trouble sleeping and many use sleep aids to fall asleep. A multitude of factors can disrupt sleep. Sometimes the quest for sleep is complicated, and we wonder about the origin of our insomnia.
Here are some of the most common reasons: Food stimulants (chocolate, coffee, tea, etc.), Nicotine, Lights (screen light or overhead lights or spotlights), Noise, or Certain medications or dietary supplements,
Do you get a restful night sleep? If not, what prevents you from sleeping? Have you tried any relaxation methods or specific techniques to help you fall asleep? Does your diet affect your sleep? Have you consulted a healthcare professional for sleep issues? Do you have any tips?
I'll tag a few people to get the conversation started.
