Hi @yankeepoodle89
How are you doing today?
It is common for chronic illnesses to affect other parts of the body not typically associated with the condition. It wouldn't surprise me if long term depression can have an affect on your back. stomach, and head. I'll tag a few other members to see if they experienced other physical symptoms caused by depression.

Have you ever had your depression manifest itself in you body in the form of body pain? What about an irritable stomach? Headache? What do you think of this idea of depression affecting more than just your mental health? If you have experienced it, what advice would you give to help reduce these symptoms?
Please share your experiences!
Take care,
Lizzi from the Carenity team

Hi @yankeepoodle89. Thx for reaching out. Yes I have heard back, neck & headache pains can be related to depression. I'm not a doc, however I do enough research to sort of understand it. I've had low back pain for years!! Also, have history of car accidents. Plus had stomach issues most of life. I tend to think as everything is interconnected, anything is possible. I wish u well.

So I've been having these symptoms for a while now. I was thinking that I was just "getting old" and that my body can't handle what it used to. Just earlier today I over heard a conversation where someone said all types of symptoms can be linked to depression. Seems unrelated, but perhaps someone has gotten a doctor to diagnose this?
