I use the airphysic. It's pricy for a small plastic device with a ball bearing but it will get you clear. I would encourage someone to use it lots the cumulative effect will surprise you. If anyone tries airphysic I'd love to hear what you think. I thought "what a waste of money" but.... When you get desperate to get clear grab it go to town on it and get ready to spit that yuck up.

When the mucus won't clear I also use a small plastic oscillation device, the AerobiKA. One was given to me by the Respiratory Therapist in late 2023 when in the Hospital for an acute COPC exacerbation.

Can we be prescribed anything for the anxiety caused by shortness of breath (dyspnea)?

In order to deal with any anxiety during sob episodes, I try to focus on an object while concentrating on deep breathing exercises until it's under control. Works well for me. I'm a firm believer in no more meds than absolutely necessary.

Hello everyone,
How are you doing today? 😊
For those living with respiratory conditions, mucus build-up can be one of the most frustrating symptoms. Whether it’s due to chronic infections, asthma, COPD, or cystic fibrosis, clearing the airways is essential to breathing more easily and preventing complications.
There are many approaches to managing mucus build-up, such as:
What works best for you? Do you use any specific techniques or devices to clear your airways?
Have you found that certain lifestyle changes, like staying hydrated or using a humidifier, make a difference?
What challenges do you face in managing mucus build-up, and how do you overcome them?
