I absolutely hate this drug. I tried it for my Ortho related neuropathy because it was all they had to offer for that and my fibromyalgia. Anything over 100 mg IE and effective dose knocked me out. There was one weekend I ran out of my regular pain meds and I fell and hurt myself and only had gabapentin to take. It really didn't relieve my pain and it made me absolutely out of my mind. I became highly agitated and upset. I even found that now the Humane Society has got the dogs in their Care on neurontin to calm them down. And I also have learned that it is now being used for regular pain control. I think this is wrong and a really bad decision. I avoid taking it at all costs. I will only take it now if it is absolutely a nerve pain that will not be touched by an opiate.

I had to fiddle around with dosage - too much knocked me out. This was Dr. prescription. Too little was ineffective. I wound down to 100 mg in AM and 600 mg at bed.
