In the first 3 months of taking Onureg, I had the usual side effects associated with chemo treatment-nausea, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue & bruising. In months 4-8, I had these side effects but to a much lesser degree. I just finished month 12 of Onureg & in months 9-12 I only have some fatigue in the week after I finish taking the 14 day treatment.

My oncologist also prescribes me with an anti-nausea pill that I take 30 min. before each Onureg, a twice a day antibiotic & a heartburn medicine. I’m taking Onureg as a maintenance drug since I declared in remission in Nov. 2023.
