Hi everyone, how are you doing? Can you relate to how ReddyNow feels? Have you ever felt like you were just going through the motions in life? How do you cope with your anxiety in the day-to-day? Do you know of any good coping methods or techniques you can share with us?

Wow, i can relate.....The world is crazy right now, one way I cope with the way things are right now is to turn off the news and I feel better. I am a procrastinator and feel so tired after work. During the day I think of all of the things I want to do when I get home but then when I get home im too tired it seems. Lately ive been trying to make myself do something that I like to do, but it is hard.........Tracy

You are welcome any time, it's nice to find a place where anxiety and depression are understood. Nice to meet other people like myself...

Just like tracer mentioned, I undownload problematic apps that may be filled with bad news that might depress me even more. And I also tend to be around one of my friends who is similar to me (depressed and anxious like me) but we often go out together, eat, go skating and distract ourselves with new experiences ... we also tend to learn a new skill, this helps my anxiety because it is only the two of us and I hate being around crowds of people so these activities that we do together are away from the crowd.

Just a thought. At what age should a person be over their childhood hurt when they still have to deal with the person that hurt them as a child and it has only gotten worse as an adult?? 😔

@Mzharris09 I don't think you can define a specific age, it depends on the person. We all process trauma differently and coming to terms with depression and things in our past take time. I imagine it can be harder if you have to face the person regularly. 😕

Living on autopilot. Just going through the motions and routines of life. Just can’t “get started”. So many things, even little things, I try to do, but just can’t. Always feel like I should be somewhere else or doing something else. I somehow manage to provide for my family and get by, but in my head I’m just scared. (It feels like when I thought I was gonna get in trouble when I got home as a kid). It’s downright stifling. Just can’t shake it. Thanks for listening. ?
