Hi @KateMJ
I don't know about if ITP effects hormones but when I was pregnant they were concerns about whether or not I could get an epidural. I think there were a few options to raise platelet counts IVIG and prednisone (I had this one). They will keep an eye on your levels to make sure you don't bleed out too much.
Good luck with everything!

@LizziB I have not tried Papaya leaf. The only thing in terms of diet I have found to help is to avoid alcohol and to decrease or avoid refined sugar. My platelets still drop but it seems not as much. My low platelets are due to auto-immune disease. My doctor however says there is nothing in terms of diet that helps. thanks, Lynette

I was hoping someone out here would know if ITP can also connect to a low hormone issue.
I've been living with ITP, since I was four years old; I just recently turned 29. I recently got married, as well and my husband and I have been trying to have a baby.
Unfortunately, we haven't had any success; but I have read that those with ITP can still get pregnant and have healthy babies. I was hoping that there was someone out there, that's had the same issue; as me, in getting pregnant.
