YES I have a few telemedicine conferences via zoom with my doctor's but a few I have in person I'm fine with them because if it's an emergency they will have me come in or send me to the ER

I live two hours from specialists because we live in a rural mountain community. I am fine with seeing my rheumatologist this way. She has a terrible record of making you wait at least 2 hours in the waiting room. She actually does this virtually, also, but I can do things around the house while I wait. The last time I saw her this way she still didn’t have the hang of it. I hope by now she does! If doctors need to see me for reasons other than talking, of course I will go see them. I think this type of medicine will be here for a while, and glad it is!

I'm doing well! Some days are better than others, but I'm blessed so I can't complain!
The pandemic is very real. I work in Healthcare. In the emergency room! Although I am not a nurse, I still see these situations first hand because I am in communication with every patient that comes in.
I hope everyone stays safe!

I have been doing my sessions with my psychiatrist and therapist virtually for about 7 months now and I actually like it much more than in person sessions. I admit at first I was a bit leery I guess because of the unknown but after the first session I was hooked, I don't have to deal with the public, having to wear my mask to cover my depression, I can have my pj's on during sessions; I am hoping that even if sessions go back to meeting in the office the option to meet virtually will still be available because I really want to continue with it.

I like telephone therapy better than in person. I feel better being in my apartment and not driving to appointments every week. 💕

@Bridgete317 I suggest you use Google, put in what you are looking for and be sure to include the city and state so you get a list that is near you. My therapist went to virtual and contacted me to ensure I was okay with it.

Yes, I have used Telemedicine. I think it is great, Telemedicine means I do not need to go to my doctor’s office to receive my prescriptions. The convenience is absolutely wonderful!
The only thing that I have a problem with, is the fact that, I am not able to receive my medication which is an opiate. I still need to have an in-person visit to receive this prescription. It is difficult for me to get to the doctor because I have had a Stroke and am in constant pain! Because this medication is very addictive, it is difficult to get my primary physician to prescribe.

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
In recent months following the COVID-19 crisis, we've seen the the healthcare community turn more and more to telemedecine. Now, primary care physicians and other health professionals are encouraged to conduct non-urgent consultations remotely by telephone, video and online consultations where possible.
And what about you? Has you used teleconsultation recently? If so, in what context? What did you think of it? Is it something you'd continue to use in the future? Why or why not?
