Dear Camsss,
I am sorry that you are struggling with your depression. I too haves lived with it for most of my life. It is hell!
I used to take 24 psych meds and several months ago I received ECT treatments and now I only take 4 psych meds. I am also getting TMS treatments. It is 80 percent successful and I’m starting to feel some relief. I am a Christian and have found that prayer and listening to Bible based sermons on Netflix has also helped!
I pray for everyone on this site and pray you each start to have some relief. Hang in there and reach out to anyone in your life that cares about you
God bless you all! David

Hello there, 1st time posting. I'm not currently working but I have been applying. I've had a phone interview last week and passed on the face to face interview. I know I need/want to work but I'm scared to get out of the house.

Here are some suggestions that might be helpful
Talk to someone: Reach out to a friend, family member, or a professional counselor/therapist to share your feelings. Talking about your emotions can be a significant step in processing them and finding support.
Seek professional help: A mental health professional can provide guidance, support, and effective treatment options for managing depression and working on building self-love. Consider finding a therapist or counselor who specializes in depression and self-esteem issues.
Practice self-compassion: Be kind to yourself and understand that it's okay to struggle sometimes. Practice self-compassion by treating yourself with the same understanding and care that you would offer to a friend.
Engage in self-care: Focus on activities that bring you joy and help improve your mood, such as hobbies, exercise, spending time in nature, or practicing mindfulness.
Challenge negative thoughts: Depression often involves negative thought patterns. Work on identifying these thoughts and challenging them with more positive and realistic alternatives.
Set realistic goals: Start with small, achievable goals and celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how minor they may seem.
Limit stress: Try to identify sources of stress in your life and find ways to minimize or cope with them effectively.
Avoid self-isolation: Reach out to friends or loved ones, even if it feels challenging. Social connections can provide support and reduce feelings of loneliness.Remember, it's okay to take things one step at a time, and progress may be gradual. Healing and self-love are journeys that require patience and perseverance. If you ever feel overwhelmed or unable to cope, please don't hesitate to seek help from a mental health professional or a crisis helpline. Please know that I'm here to listen and offer support. Feel free to share your thoughts or any specific concerns you'd like to discuss.
