I am staying in except for chemo or doctor appointments. I have had so many side effects that I don't need any more complications.

I am staying in, unless I have doctors appointments! I finished my last chemo last week. My husband goes to the store when needed. I make him wash his hands and change his clothes .. we sleep in separate bedrooms until the pandemic is over.. I had no side affects from chemo except hair loss. I am blessed! God bless you all

@Courtney_J Thank you for the article! I've been a bit worried. I finished my chemo two years ago but I still had that tiny part of me that was worried that my immune system may still be down.
Only thing that I'm frustrated with now is that I had an appointment with my doctor at the cancer center but it's been rescheduled "for a later date" with this coronavirus mess... Has anyone else had their appointments, or even worse, their treatments cancelled or moved??

Hi Sara, No my immunotherapy has not been canceled here in McKinney TX and every time I am there the place is jammed packed. They check us before we go in, temperature and questions and let us give a phone number and we can wait in the car before our therapy.
This is Terry in Allen, TX

Hello everyone, it's been a while since we've checked in on one another. How are you all doing? Are you still going in for your treatments? Is the lockdown starting to get to you, or are you managing to stay positive? Feel free to share how you're doing here!

I have still been able to get appointments and treatments here in Colorado. Seems to be business as usual for cancer patients.

My Oncology appt this week is going to be the virtual/telephone call from my doctor. Just had to go to lab to get blood draw. I wore my mask and gloves, came home and changed clothes right away. Then wiped down car. I finished chemo almost 2 years ago, still concerned about how good my immune system is.
Hope you are doing well.
Hugs to you.

Hello everyone,
Since the Coronavirus epidemic concerns many Americans (and Carenity members too), I've created this discussion to allow you to talk specifically about the virus in the context of cancer, as we all know that patients can be weakened by their treatments.
Have you received any special instructions from your doctor regarding your care? Are you going to limit your travel? Do you have any advice for others?
Take care,
Courtney
