@cboyd62003yahoo.com - You seemed to have expressed a similar concern regarding recovery, so I wanted to bring your attention to this discussion here.

Hi @jarrod recovery will continue... through helping my husband in recovery from his, I have heard stories of people continuing to recover years after stroke; however, your recovery gains may not be as pronounced as they were in the initial months after your stroke. You will continue to get stronger, confident, and learn how to adapt more efficiently which all is "recovery."

Hi everyone,
I had a stroke due to a blood clot almost 1 year ago. I am still having balance difficulties, gait difficulties (use a cane for every day walking, but due to fatigue, I also keep my walker because I am fearful in walking long distances.
I still struggle with deficits in my strength on my right side, as well as spasticity in my right side, predominately in my right leg.
I fatigue often and am not able to remember things like I could before my stroke... It is almost as if I have to focus to store stuff to memory or constantly recall it... like a song.
My concern is that I have been using and attending therapy, but is this it? Is there still recovery to be done after 12 months or is any recovery minimal?
Thank you all.
