@Teri84 Hello Teri84, thank you for starting this discussion. I'm sorry to hear you feel inadequate in your relationship. Let me tag some members who can maybe share their experiences or advice with you.
Hello everyone, how are you doing? Have you ever felt inadequate in a relationship? Have you had a partner try to help you but had them just make you feel worse? What did you do to handle the situation? Do you have any advice for Teri84?

Hi @TeriB4, I'm sorry you feel inadequate in any part of your life! Unfortunately, I am feeling the same way in mine, every relationship I've ever had, even with my own Mother. I wish there were some magical way for me to make things better for you but unfortunately there is not. All I can advise is try to sit down with him and let him know exactly how it's making you feel and if he doesn't want to change it after that then it's up to you to take it from there. My husband used to always do the same thing to me. Stand right over my shoulder and then finally, I just told him to do it himself if he thought I couldn't do it right. Even, tho, he has always known I'm def a better cleaner than him, he just has to feel in charge. Anyway, I hope you can speak with him and work things out soon! And I hope you get to feeling better very soon!

My boyfriend redoes things I have already done. It makes me feel inadequate but he says it is because he wants to help but I know when I say I have already done this or that he just does it again anyway and I get really depressed and feel like I am not good enough or something.
