@Tescott1981 I relate to every word. The past 7 months I've been to 5 hospitals and am currently in a program after an incident on my birthday last month. The pain was so heavy I just couldn't take it anymore. Coming out of it I realized I just wanted the pain to go away but want to be here to make more memories especially ones with my son. Never ever is worth it to cut life short. I have only reached this pain that deep a couple times in my life and understand how heavy a burden gets when depression hits so hard everything hurts and I just want it over. I cannot fathom having to endure it any longer but there is always something even if I refuse to see it through the darkness that gives me the will to not want to feel this way. Something shows me eventually what they are as long as I'm truly open to see them. At these moments I try to achieve what I need to pull me out of my depression whether it's a med change or lifestyle change no matter what there's always something you can do to make the air feel less hard to breath and give you what you need to walk through the pain. My life has been far from easy especially through most my childhood through every which way of abuse one can endure to drug addiction to hide the pain to jails, institutions, physical from a rare disorder endless reasons to just say screw it. I've always concluded life's just life but the beautiful things are always more beautiful to the people that feel the most pain. I wish you to find peace and to find something to hold onto. You are not alone.

Good morning. Hoping somewhat wellness. For those who don't feel like living, there maybe a solution, maybe?? I have had ECT, shock treatments, that, for me, work great! But, having researched how they are done, is sad. They give u general anesthesia, & when out, they Shock your brain to, supposedly reduce depression. But, the shocking convulses u, hence being stressful on your body. The new idea would be TMS. Don't know if I've mentioned it before, but it's non invasive treatment for depression. Some places do it, check w/ your insurance if they'll cover it. Mine does. Good luck!

This is how I feel 60% of the time. My house is not working for me anymore, there is just no one who actually gives a crap about me. I have already tried to do myself in and I'm not afraid to do it again. The only reason I am still here is because of my dogs and cat

@Jlbekfi123 are you on medication? If you are you should change your meds. That helps me for a little bit. The last time I tried killing myself was my birthday this year. I parked in an er parking lot figuring they can deal with my body the best. I took 60 antihistamines knowing it was enough to stop my heart because the previous winter I barely slept and mostly googled ways to do it and taking 3000mgs of antihistamines would do the trick. I also took 30 other pills and a bottle of Robitussin. I cannot describe to you what happened. Our life here is so small compared to our journey through other periods after death. I feel people like myself living in mania miss so many moments and future trip to the point that we miss happy moments. We need to live where our feet are so we can have good moments. When I do this my suicidal thinking dissipates. My mania goes on pause. I'm available to be apart of the world. I'm saying all this but I struggle so much minute to minute. Yesterday was one of my best days and today I hated everything about me. So struggling is just part of life but living in such misery to have one more day with my son is worth every last piece of me. Walk through the fire. If you want to talk please message me. Peace

@Truint40 sometimes changes in meds isn't as easy as it could be. I've asked for my meds to be changed up, to no avail. Just finally been prescribed antianxiety meds. To be taken as needed. Walked to pharmacy today & not open. Weird. Nice stroll, but pointless. Perhaps increasing or lowering dosage is more practical. My 2 cents.

Yes that can work for some and it’s worth a try. I have friends that if they did not have that life would be horrible they say.

That's a bad idea . I'm sorry and I don't want to offend anyone or overstep ,but I think that that is a really bad Idea. People who struggle with mental health issues fight to keep their thoughts and minds straight and aware. Fight for their very lives to get or keep control of their selves above the water. I simply believe that you have to seek help from mental health professionals. You have to be aggressive in your fight. Giving up and giving in to illicit drugs is not the answer . You have to resurch your aeria and find all the mental health professionals, check their ratings and just push and keep pushing until you find the right one for you the right kind of proper medication 💊. There is help out there and there is hope . God bless

@Truint40 I did have issues. At the age of 14 I tried to commit suicide because of a situation that I don't think it's necessary for me to talk about here. Anyway, I took 100 aspirin tablets to kill myself. It didn't work, I just got horribly sick and my mother took me to the Emergency Room, where they pumped my stomach and then sent me home. Then I spent a week in a hospital's Psychiatric Ward when my youngest of three children was 2 years old and I found out that my husband was cheating on me with three women and fathered a child with one of them. I just couldn't take it and basically checked out - didn't eat, didn't do anything but lie in bed, didn't even get up to go to the bathroom and just soiled myself. My husband picked me up, got me into the car, and drove to the hospital. I was admitted to the Psychiatric Ward where I was assigned a very smart psychiatrist. The immediate result of that was that I gained the strength to consult an attorney and get a divorce. The long-term result is that I haven't needed any psychiatric or psychological help since that time. I was 24 years old at the time, I'm now 82.

@uncleanatol I wasn't talking to you. And I doubt you know how things are now since it was 60 years ago. The mental health system has changed and just because you stopped seeing a psychiatrist back in the 60s don't tell people that because people with mental health will hear that and think why do they have to take meds and go to hospitals? I've been there listening to someone like you. If you really have mental health issues I doubt you're content in your life. And if you don't what in gods name are you doing coming on this website talking non sense?

@Truint40 Crapola. People are smarter than you give them credit for being. I HAD mental health issues, I no longer have them because I did what I was supposed to do, what was recommended by a smart psychiatrist. What in god's name are you doing coming on this website to reply to me when you obviously have no clue what you're talking about?
