@Felishamom3 Hi Felisha, thank you for creating this discussion. I think this is an important topic, handling depression and being a parent can be so hard. I'm sorry you feel like you can't talk with your partner about how you feel, but you can definitely talk with us all here.
Hi everyone, how do you handle your depression while being a parent? Does it ever all feel like too much? Do you have any coping techniques or advice for Felisha? Feel free to share here!

Having depression and taking care of a baby can be really stressful. I’ve personally found that writing down a list of things I need to get done every day and completing a few of them helps me get up and get going. Also doing a light activity with the baby such as taking my baby out for a walk or stroll really helps me feel productive and brings up my mood. Hope I could help. 😊

You have to really push yourself even if it feels uncomfortable. You have to do it for you and your child. It's not easy, not easy at all but you have to push forward. It gets a little easier eash time you've made a small accomplishment. Been there done that. People dont like meds but a chemical imbalance needs chemicals that our brains s cant produce. Nothing wrong with getting help. Wishing you the best luck.
