@MJ2015 Hello MJ2015, thank you for opening this discussion. I'm sorry to hear you're not seeing the improvement you hoped for. Let me tag some members who can maybe share their thoughts or advice with you.
Hi everyone, how are you doing? Are you aware of your ferratin and other levels? Have you ever felt like your NAFLD or NASH isn't improving despite all your efforts? What should we do to lose weight and how long does it take to see the effects? Feel free to share any thoughts or advice here!

Hi. I know how frustrating this can be. My understanding is that it takes time to see a change.
I am really happy to hear you are losing weight. In addition to losing weight, it’s important to remove items from the diet that can harm it, such as various chemicals and processed foods.
Hang in there. You are doing awesome!
Best,
Liz

@lnewbury Thanks so much for replying, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. It's been a crazy few months. I've been trying to eat "cleaner' but I'll take a closer look at what I'm eating. Sometimes it's hard to get away from the prepared or boxed stuff because of convenience.

Hello, I'm 32 years old, and in October 2019 I was discovered to have fatty liver. After a blood test with my GP who sent me to a gastroenterologist who in turn prescribed an MRI, ultrasound and liver elastography, the tests showed a 25% fatty liver with no fibrosis, a ferritin level of 1264 and all the rest of my blood tests in the normal range.
The gastro told me and my doctor to lose weight and all it would all go back to normal. Since then, I've lost about 35 pounds and today I weigh 175. I'm very active, I do 3 hours of biking every Sunday and walking twice a week for an hour and a half, and I've been making an effort with my diet.
I had another blood test yesterday and I'm upset. Ferritin is 870 and iron is 163, so I am very worried because I don't understand. The doctors tell me "don't worry, you're on the right track"... I don't know what to do anymore... I'm doing everything possible and I'm losing weight, but I'm not getting better! I'm not seeing any improvement! Has anyone been through this?
