You don't know how much I appreciate you. I'll get the protein drinks and my Dr is sending me to a dietician September 12 that's the earliest I could get. Didn't know I could eat fish and tuna salad. Thank you.💛

@russell I did not mean to push anything... I was just suggesting something from my own experience. I started taking CuraLin and it not only brought my glucose levels down, but it also made me feel much better overall... of course, I also keep a healthy diet and exercise!

Hi !
In the past week, I also started reading articles about nutrition for diabetes and came across this one for example that I felt taught me a lot about the different fruits! This way you know how your body is benefitting from the fruits you are eating during the hot summer days! Hopefully, this will be helpful for you as well.

I hate anecdotal stories, but I've started eating oatmeal every day (Old Fashioned, 5 minutes to cook, store brand), and my blood sugar is doing fine. Even though it has about 30 grams of carbs, which is very high, it's fine on the glycemic index (low glycemic means your body breaks it down to sugar slowly, which is a good thing for diabetes), and I've read that oatmeal has properties that actually fight insulin resistance, which is great news for most of us with Type 2 diabetes. As I said, anecdotal stories (which means one person writes that he or she ate a food and the diabetes went away by magic) are something I am suspicious of. But this is supported by articles I've read, and it's worked for me. Supposedly the best oatmeal is the kind that cooks the longest (like Irish oatmeal that cooks for 20 minutes), so don't be surprised if you eat instant oatmeal and it doesn't help. Please, check your blood sugar if you decide to try oatmeal. And it may take a few days to make a difference.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 in 2009, and I have never had some of the phenomenol results with regards to A1C that I have seen shared on this forum. My A1C borders on the high 7s to low 8s, it has always been a roller coaster. There are a lot of supplements that we can add to help us manage diabetes. I wrote a book a few years ago regarding reversing Type 2 diabetes, but unfortunately i don't practice what I preach as much as I should. If you look up Dr E Barrett Hall you will find some good tidbits on herbs for diabetes etc.

One week ago today I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Since the I can't control my sugar and I have had a Bad reaction from my BP medication. The lowest I have gotten my level is 177 but now it's over 250 every test. I'm barely eating because I don't know what to eat I have added more veggies uncooked and cooked I have had no fried foods no seasonings but I did manage to loose 2 pounds in a week. I will except any good advise please
